Sigal makes tea with herbs from her garden in Israel

Sigal lives close to nature. She relies on the sun for the home's energy needs and herbs from the garden to fuel her tea needs.

Within a lazy arm's reach from her home's wooden deck is Sigal's garden. The garden bed has a spread of herbs for her to pick from.

Stepping onto her wooden deck, Sigal surveys her garden for tea-inspiration

Back in the kitchen, with a hand full of herbs, we find Sigal's stove – a tea pot and kettle sit at the ready. Gas, powered via the sun's rays, is used to make the kettle whistle with delight.

Herbs are added into the tea pot, the hot water soon follows.

On Sigal's stove, her kettle and tea pot sit in wait.

The smell of the tea brewing makes its way out of the spout and into Sigal's lovely home.

Take a listen to how Sigal prepares her tea:
